I love this place. Sure, I know I'd like it more if I was familiar with the variety of products but that is what makes it what it is! So many of the stores are so "bland American". I feel like I traveled across the world being in this story. A different environment, scene, setting, service, and colors. The presentation of the store is colorful, very clean, and has that village-like feel. It's cheery to walk thru, even if you're not buying anything. From their candy and sweets, to bread, to deli meats, and other items. For those who leave a 3 or less, I'm assuming it's to be with "they don't have M&Ms, Coca-Cola, Lays potato chips, etc." and good, because it wasn't designed that way. Otherwise, folks can go to 7-Eleven and small, sketchy convenience stores. For me, it's great seeing cultural preservation and truly international products. They owner(s) are doing a great job and hope they keep this precious store as a local gem.

I can't speak to the older reviews here, but I had a great experience at this Russian store. I really don't understand the bad service reviews, but honestly the service is awesome. The store istelf is like stepping back into the 80s USRR and it's quite interesting.

A month or so ago I received a damaged jar of your Taramosalata from Amazon in the mail. After contacting you about the problem you rushed me a replacement in plenty of time for my wife and me to enjoy it on our Valentine's Day vacation. We very much appreciate the lengths you went to to make sure our little picnic was complete. Thank you!

Great store, always makes me happy to stop in here after work. The Lavash bread is fresh, good selection of candies, fruit drinks, egg-noodles, frozen pirogies, and prepared foods. Very sweet staff and owner. Very good prices. A good cross-over selection of Turkish delight, bagged pastries like barazek and mohn cookies, and a lot of honey. Giant bags of looseleaf Ceylon tea are $9.99 and of comparable, if not better quality [sorry Tealuxe] than something from a specialty tea store. Also some small toys and beauty products.

We had an awesome experience here. Drove the 40 min from Beverly because I've been annoyingly CRAVING Kvass since our visit to St.Petersburg in Sept. Found this place listed on Yelp! and wanted to try it out. AND they were open (PLUS!) - which most places have closed considering it's the day after a weekend day Xmas. The shoppe is small but PACKED with all kinds of Russian, Polish & some Hungarian goodies! Unfortunately we had to pass on the "dumplings/pierogies" (sorry! I forget the Russian name!) because we're not going right home. The cold cuts and sausages look divine!! Next time (and there WILL be a "next time") I'll be prepared to buy some and more cheeses. And yes, we got our Kvass! They have several kinds and currently they have a Canadian made "live culture" Kvass in stock for the holiday. The clerk who helped us (she looks a bit like Kirsten Dunst) was *very* friendly and helpful and warned us about opening it since the live cultures cause gas to build up and we have to open it little by little over 15-20 min to be safe. That was VERY kind. I could go on but please read other reviews carefully before you might hesitate. People will complain about the tiniest most ridiculous thing just because they can use Yelp! as a platform to vent their bad attitudes, or perhaps they felt slighted in some way. I'm a "fair stickler" and went in expecting attitude and poor service based on other reviews and I got nothing but the opposite. And I'm thrilled! We'll be returning and with plenty more money and a cooler! Thank you! :)

I love this place.. the people who work behind the counter are darling and the selection of Russian staples & treats will blow your mind! Don't be intimidated - the prices are good so you won't blow your piggy bank trying a few new things here. The cookie & candy selection is totally amazing.. it's ok to ask about things you don't know (-: Some of the chocolate bars are so cute I've given them as gifts!!! Always a good choice! Try the Impra Strawberry Green Tea or one of the huge apricot danishes on the counter.. I love this place
